42 seconds. [1.7MB] Progressive Streaming QuickTime (Sorenson 320 x 240) This clip is from a half-hour studio pilot I co-produced with Frank Avruch at WCVB-TV, the Boston ABC Affiliate. Years before IFC's Dinner for Five, we had the idea of a weekly round-table party featuring Boston area film specialists, with Frank acting as host. (We used the same penthouse set featured on Frank's weekly Great Entertainment film series.) The show's guests were Boston Herald critic James Verniere, then manager and owner of the Coolidge Corner Theater David Kleiler, and Visons magazine editor Marie France Alderman. Directed by Donna Hennessey. The GM didn't go for the idea, mostly because we were in the middle of the recession and the expense couldn't be justified. (In less than a year, in fact, Channel 5 canceled most of its local programs.) Taped on June 15, 1992. Courtesy of WCVB-TV. (Please note: This is a progressive download. You do NOT have to download the entire thing before you can start watching it.) © by FarrellMedia, Inc. All Rights Reserved. |
