Kick-off: Great Scenes from Otherwise Appalling Films….

Great idea for a series! I really enjoyed the clip you chose — in fact, I was wishing it would go on so that I could find out what exactly the danger at Carlsbad was (yes, yes, vampires of course). I suppose I’d be disappointed in the rest of the movie; hence the “good scenes from bad movies” designation.
Looking forward to the next installment.
Glad you like it! I realize I may be stetching it to say both ‘great’ scenes as well as truly ‘appalling’ as not all the films are really that bad.
But it’s catchy.
As for this film, the first half hour is truly well done, but as soon as the travelers get lead (in rather improbable circumstances) to the castle … the story reverts to a standard gory (and ridiculous) plotline.
Of all the Hammer Dracula sequels, I think the one with the worst title, Taste the Blood of Dracula, is actually the best after the 1958 original….
